Design and Styling

The Tata Curvv EV stands out with its coupe-like roofline, sharp LED DRLs, and futuristic design language. It is built on Tata’s Gen 2 EV architecture, which is a step forward from the Nexon EV platform. The bold grille-less front, muscular wheel arches, and aero-focused alloys highlight its modern character. Inside, Tata offers a premium cabin featuring a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, 10.25-inch digital cluster, dual-zone climate control, and a panoramic sunroof—all aimed at enhancing comfort and driving experience.

Battery and Performance Specs

The Curvv EV will be available with two battery pack options: 45 kWh and 55 kWh.

The smaller battery claims a range of 502 km, while the larger pack pushes it up to 585 km under standard testing conditions.
In real-world driving, buyers can expect around 350–425 km depending on traffic, terrain, and usage.
Power output ranges from 150 PS (45 kWh) to 167 PS (55 kWh) with torque figures exceeding 215 Nm, making it suitable for both city drives and highway runs.

Charging is another strong point. With 70 kW DC fast charging, the Curvv EV can juice up from 10% to 80% in just 30–40 minutes. For home charging, Tata is likely to offer a 7.2 kW AC wall box charger, ensuring overnight charging convenience.

Dimensions and Road Presence

The Curvv EV is sized perfectly for Indian roads while still offering SUV-like practicality:

Length: 4,310 mm
Width: 1,810 mm
Height: 1,637 mm
Wheelbase: 2,560 mm
Ground Clearance: 190 mm
Boot Space: ~500 litres

With this setup, Tata is positioning the Curvv EV between the Nexon EV and the upcoming Harrier EV, giving buyers a new mid-segment option.

Launch Updates

Tata officially launched the Curvv EV in 2025 with introductory prices starting from ₹17.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base 45 kWh variant. Multiple trims are available including Creative, Accomplished, and Empowered Plus across both battery packs. A Dark Edition with all-black accents has also been introduced for style-conscious buyers.

In a bold move, Tata has also announced a 15-year unlimited km battery warranty for first private owners, building trust among EV adopters worried about long-term battery life.

Price Prediction for 2025 and Beyond

Currently, Tata Curvv EV variants are priced between ₹17.49 lakh to ₹22.24 lakh (ex-showroom). Based on Tata’s past strategy, here’s what buyers can expect:

Entry-Level Future Variants: A smaller battery pack (~40 kWh) could bring the price closer to ₹15–16 lakh, making it more affordable.
Performance Variants: A dual-motor AWD edition may cross ₹25 lakh, targeting premium buyers.
Gradual Price Increase: Expect prices to rise 5–8% yearly as features, battery costs, and demand scale up.

Rivals and Market Comparison

The Tata Curvv EV will enter a competitive segment with rivals such as:

MG ZS EV: Priced ₹18–25 lakh, offering 420–480 km range.
Hyundai Creta EV (expected 2025): Likely to bring 450+ km range with Hyundai’s service advantage.
Mahindra XUV400 EV: Positioned lower in price but with a more conventional design.

Tata’s advantage will lie in its wider EV charging network, aggressive pricing, and India-focused design.
